Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Current mood: tired
Entry tags:harry/snape, rating: pg-13, vid

Vid: Kiss From A Rose (Harry/Snape)
My vids tend to be pretty angsty, but I tried to combine angst and romance in this one. I hope I didn't screw up too badly... This actually turned out better than I expected :)

Pairing: Harry/Snape
Rating: PG-13 (contains some nudity + boys kissing boys)
Song: Kiss From A Rose by Seal
Summary: "Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light."

Notes: Created for this challenge. The good bits are from Queer as Folk and Dark Harbor ;)

Watch: YouTube, imeem
Download: mp4

(I don't like commenting on YouTube, so I'm doing it here.)

Wow! I'm in awe of the STORY that vid tells! I usually get bored watching vids, but not watching this, nope, not at all. It was beautiful and interesting and wonderfully done :)

Thank you very much! I'm really glad you enjoyed it. It's always wonderful to get positive feedback from people who aren't normally huge fans of vidding :)

If you'd like us to make any changes to the link, etc. please let us know.

Thanks,

I'm pretty new to the Snarry business and believe it or not, had never seen a fanvid before. And now I know I will have to see more--at least more of yours. This is just lovely, and subtle, and poignant, and discreet, even. And I'm sure it took a whole lot of work. You have taken materials all made for entirely different purposes, and made with them something new and authentic. My applause echoes.

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback! I'm afraid fanvids are a bit underappreciated in the HP fandom, but there are many really good vidders. If you are a fan of Snarry, I would highly recommend [info]chaeche (her vidding community: [info]akemi42_vids) and Ariel Lindt's work.

I've written about your vid in my journal

I like this video so much (especially after really listening to the song lyrics) that I had to write more about it, so I talked about it in my IJ today. I hope that mentioning that in this comment is proper etiquette--I'm not sure if you'd automatically get notice, otherwise, that I've written about it. Anyway, thanks again for such a great piece of film work.

Thank you for informing me! :) I did notice your post, but I don't always have time to read my friends list, so I might easily miss something important.

I can't thank you enough for your wonderful words. They mean so much to me. There are few things that I love as much as making videos, so it's truly amazing if my work makes an impact.
